Facebook - your kids may tell you it’s only for old folk but it’s still the daddy of the social media family. With over 2.7 billion users it must be doing something right! What’s more, its largest user group in the UK is between 25 and 34 years old. Sometimes disregarded as ‘only for B2C’ 74% of people say they use Facebook for professional purposes. We don’t only check Facebook after 5pm do we….

LinkedIn - its paid content opportunities are great for content placement and brand building, but LinkedIn also offers a really useful email (InMail) marketing option for niche targeting of specific users by job role and demographic. Whilst a significantly smaller audience than some other channels, a recent Hubspot report found that LinkedIn can be almost 3 times more effective at generating leads than Facebook and Twitter.

Twitter - twitter has really focused on improving its user experience in recent times. Its ability to engage your audience and create personal relationships helps to boost conversions and increase your sales.  While Instagram and Snapchat have snapped up some younger users, Twitter has its own strong ground with 63% of users aged between 35 and 65.

Instagram - The millennial channel, Insta really is the social media success story of recent years with over a billion active monthly users and 500 Stories a day. And it’s not just photos of your dinner or gym poses – 90% of Instagram users follow at least one business, and 83% of users say it has helped them discover new products and services.
